RMIT Vietnam students and staff come from all over the world.
Beginning with 30 students in 2001, RMIT Vietnam now has a student body of more than 5000, including students from more than 40 countries.
As an internationally recognised Australian university based in Asia, RMIT Vietnam assists in the development of the human resources in Vietnam and the region.
Students from Vietnam and around the world belong to an international educational community that supports them to achieve their full potential by developing strong intellectual skills and knowledge, and the ability to problem solve through creative thinking. These skills enable graduates to contribute to shaping a dynamic national (and increasingly global) future.
An education at RMIT Vietnam is all-encompassing, and includes not only the lectures and classes by an international faculty, but also many extra curricular sports, recreation activities and clubs to fully develop students’ capacity for teamwork and social and communication skills.
The University encourages all students to fully participate in campus life, so they can make friends and potential future business contacts amongst their peers outside the classroom.
On the Saigon South campus students have the use of wireless technology for computer access, expansive sports facilities, a food court and various cafes, medical clinic, stationery store.
New sports and student accommodation facilities are under construction. (As at March 2009.)
RMIT Vietnam’s Hanoi campus is housed in two modern buildings – a five-storey building in the Van Phuc Compound in the diplomatic quarter of Hanoi, and a nine-storey building near the Temple of Literature, leased to accommodate the growing Hanoi student body.
Various sporting competitions, clubs and community support activities are also available to students.
